WTA Awards are one of the most prestigious awards in tennis and to win the Karen Krantzcke Sportsmanship Award 8 times is a great accomplishment.

And the Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova is the one who did it. She won it 7th time in a row and 8th time overall. The Czech is getting back to the top of the ranking after she had an arm injury a few years later. Kvitova is number 7 in the WTA Ranking and she had a pretty successful season as she won 37 matches out of 53 played.
On winning the Sportsmanship award Kvitova said: "Receiving this award for the eighth time makes me very proud and means so much to me. Being recognized by my colleagues for sportsmanship and fair play is an honor as I always pride myself on treating my opponents with respect. I hope to inspire future generations to love the sport of tennis as much as I do."
