Former World No.1, Karolina Pliskova has announced her new coaching team ahead of the 2020 season, which will include Daniel Vallverdu who replaces Conchita Martinez.
Vallverdu has previously worked with Andy Murray, Tomas Berdych, Grigor Dimitrov and Stan Wawrinka among others.
He said ahead of working with her that despite never working with WTA players before; he is looking forward to the challenge and hopefully making Pliskova reach her goals.
“Karolina is a great player and I’m looking forward to working with her to help her reach her goals," Vallverdu said in a quote posted on Pliskova's official website. "WTA is something new for me, but I like challenges.”
“They’ve known each other for a long time from the WTA Tour and they have a great relationship," notes Michal Hrdlicka, Pliskova's husband and manager.
