Pliskova splits from current coach: 'It was a tough decision, as the season was great'

Karolina Pliskova, current World No.2 has ended her partnership with Conchita Martinez after they worked together for over a year.

Pliskova who has had a brilliant season which has seen her win four WTA titles this season had been working with the Spaniard since 2018 US Open but now the Czech ace has said that while it was a tough decision to part ways with the ex Wimbledon champion, that life is a change.
“I decided I will no longer work with Conchita,” Pliskova posted on Instagram. “It was a tough decision, as the season was great. Thank you for all this year, and wish you only the best. Life is a change!”
Michal Hrdlicka who is Pliskova's manager and husband has confirmed that negotiations are well underway to find their new coach and that fans will be informed when it is sorted.
“After the Champions Tournament (WTA Finals), we started negotiations on the engagement of a new coach. Negotiations are underway and we will inform the fans when they are over.” He said.
