Vasek Pospisil got access to the official ATP Tour Instagram account as he and Bethanie Mattek-Sands will be headling the new Tennis United show.
As the players will stream it online from the ATP & WTA Instagram accounts, they also got access to the accounts. Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Vasek Pospisil had a short live stream on Instagram before announcing the new Tennis United show when they joked about having 'so much power'.
During the live stream, Pospisil said: "I bet the media team is watching this and they are so nervous. I am like, no guarantees, this is your risk, you asked me to do this." Mattek-Sands joined him when she said: "This is a lot of trusts though, we have both passwords right now, do you know what we can do? This is a lot of power."
The Canadian then said: "No joke, earlier I tried to troll some players from the ATP account." And he was not lying, the ATP Tour account later shared screenshots of conversations Vasek started with other players.
First, Pospisil texted Roger Federer when he wrote: "Honestly, so far no one has even come close to doing your challenge as well as you. Pretty pathetic to be honest. That's why you're the goat. Am I right?" Roger replied with just a short message: "Haha, who is this?"
He also texted the official Tennis Canada account, but he did not manage to fool them. Vasek wrote: "You guys should post more about Vasek, to be honest. He's next world no.1 for sure." The reply was: "Ask and you shall receive" Next week is Vasek week in honor of the next world no.1. (Log off the ATP account, Vashy! Haha.")
Pospisil also texted other players including Tommy Haas, Gael Monfils or
Andy Murray who recently started a new volley challenge. Everything ended with a smile on player's faces, and fans also laughed when they supported Vasek in the comments.
