The Prize Money breakdown has been confirmed ahead of the 2024 Australian Open which will take place between Sunday 14 January, 2024 - Sunday 28 January 2024. There will be $86,500,000 split over the main singles draws, qualifying singles, doubles men's and women's and mixed doubles.
This is an increase of 13% on the 2023 figures. The current defending champions in the men's and women's draws are Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka who will return to defend their titles at Melbourne Park at the traditional season opener in the Aussie Summer. Djokovic famously returned to the site of his ban 12 months earlier and deportation, while Sabalenka claimed her maiden Grand Slam title as a rivalry began with Elena Rybakina.\
They will vie for $3,150,000 in prize money to the winner. Runner-Up will claim $1,725,000. While semi-finalists claim $990,000. Quarter-finalists are set for $600,000.
Last 16 losers receive $375,000, while for reaching the Last 32, it is $255,000. Last 64 losers get $180,000, with first-round exits receiving $120,000.
