Serena Williams is one of the most famous tennis players's in the world and as such has many commitments outside of tennis and recently she added some more.

Tennis players, similar to others, have an interest in many things outside of their primary job. A lot of them commit their off-court time to charities and similar campaigns. Serena Williams recently found herself in a new partnership. She partnered with Secret an antiperspirant deodorant. Commenting on the new partnership she said:
"I’m really proud to partner with Secret for because I want to continue this work together and we’re going to commission a study to understand gender equality in the sport. It will inform us about future actions that we can take and we’re actually going to commit to a million dollars to combat inequality."
It's not by chance that Serena is exploring gender inequality in sports and society in general. One role she found herself in these last few years is that of a mother. Like any parent, Serena is thinking about her daughter's future and commenting on it she briefly said: "I’m thinking inequality, gender."
When asked to explained more she opened up and specifically explained what she meant by that:
"Because she is going to be a Black woman, even though she is of mixed race, it’s going to be harder for her. But those are things that I hope won’t be as hard. I mean, it wasn’t as hard for me as it was for my mom, and hopefully then maybe for my daughter, it will be a little less or a lot less."
Serena Williams recently won her 1st title in 2020 becoming the 1st woman to win a title in four different decades. She will look to add onto that legacy but also make the world a fairer place for all including children including her daughter.
