This year's edition of the Rio Open 2020 will start with a match between Spaniards Andujar and Verdasco. Both players are good clay court play and will look to start their campaign in a good manner. The singles program will also feature six more matches
One of the more interesting ones the Rio crowd will see is between Garin and Andrej Martin. The Slovak tennis player has been playing really well so far on clay and he will look to give Garin some trouble. The Chilean youngster is having a breakout year that saw him capture the Cordoba title earlier. He will look to add yet another trophy here and secure additional points.
The tournament will also feature the return of Robert Farah who was cleared of his suspension. He and Cabal are the first seeds in the doubles section and they kick off the doubles portion of the Rio Open tournament. Both will be eager to return to competitive tennis having not played since January.
The program will be closed with a match between Ramos-Vinolas and Alcaraz who is a Wild Card recipient. Although the first day is dominated by Spaniards the Rio crowd will see some Brazilians as well.
Thiago Seybouth Wild will play against Davidovich Fokina and attempt to give the Rio crowd a reason to cheer. Whether he'll go trough remains to be seen but with the Rio crowd behind him, he might just have a chance. It's an interesting day of tennis and we will have a recap of it here so stay tuned.
