Spanish tennis player Sanchez-Vicario, who won over €17m in prize money, is facing more than 4 years in jail if prosecutors can prove their accusations.

WTA titles in a long and illustrious career, is facing a very dangerous prospect at the moment. Sanchez-Vicario has been the darling of Spanish tennis for a long time but recent times has seen her struggle financially a lot. After some investigations, she has been accused of deliberately moving her assets to avoid having to pay off debts that have amounted over the years.
The report in El Pais says that Vicario had built up a €5.2m tax debt
to the Bank of Luxembourg after being found guilty of tax evasion which
she never paid. Sanchez Vicario and her former husband Josep Santacana
allegedly created a plan to hide their assets to avoid having to pay the
money owed.
The long-running saga started when Sanchez
Vicario revealed that she has been manipulated throughout her career by
her parents who controlled all aspects of her life. If proven guilty Sanchez-Vicario could be jailed for up to 4 years.
