Coronavirus created an unusual situation for many tennis players as they won't be able to play any tournament for the following 6 weeks.

Since the 2 following tournaments were supposed to be held in the United States, many ATP & WTA players were there. A few days after the cancellation of Indian Wells and Miami Open also flights from the United States to Europe and vice-versa were suspended.
Therefore, many players from Europe had difficulties getting home as Novak Djokovic caught the last flight. On the other hand, some stayed practicing in Indian Wells, as for example Stefanos Tsitsipas. On social media, Stan Wawrinka shared also his thoughts about the current situation. Wawrinka first said he is going home and then also spoke about events that were cancelled as well as the work people put into it.
"Leaving LA to head back home for a while. These are weird times and we have no idea what to expect next. I hope you are all staying safe!! I’m thinking, of course, a lot of all those in our world who have put months of work into events that are now cancelled & to the fans who were."
