Tsonga donates t-shirt he wore against Federer to help Fondation Hôpitaux

On his Twitter profile, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga announced that he will donate his t-shirt from the final against Roger Federer to help to raise money.

Besides many career achievements, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga defeated Roger Federer in the final at the 2014 Rogers Cup. It was a great journey for the Frenchman in Toronto to lift the trophy.

Tsonga started with two victories against his countrymen Roger-Vasselin and Chardy. Then, he defeated no. 1, Novak Djokovic. In the quarterfinals, Tsonga outplayed Andy Murray who was the only player to take a set away from him during the tournament. In the semifinals, Tsonga defeated Dimitrov to set up a final against Roger Federer. There, Jo-Wilfried dominated once again when he defeated the Swiss in 2 sets.

Now, he donated his t-shirt from that match to help the Fondation Hôpitaux in raising funds. France is one of the countries that are threatened by the Coronavirus pandemic and so Jo's initiative with Adidas will definitely help to raise funds and help others.

"With the team of athletes from Adidas, we want to help the heroes of the medical profession & the Fondation Hôpitaux and we are launching an auction of our jerseys. See you on http://drouotonline.com/athletessolidaires"
