Comedian Jon-Bernard Kairouz asked some Wimbledon attendees about fake tennis players in a hilariously video:
The 2023 Wimbledon tournament has experienced inconveniences due to rain delays that have disrupted the progress of matches in the first three rounds. However, attendees have been making the most of the downtime at the All England Club, and comedian Jon-Bernard Kairouz took the opportunity to ask them some questions.
Known for his videos on social media, where he interviews fans at sporting events, this time he decided to mock them by asking about fake tennis players, mentioning names of celebrities for comedic effect.
“The young Spaniard Selena Gomez, do you think she can go all the way this Wimbledon?,” he asked a fan in the stands.
“I would hope so, Spain produces such wonderful tennis players,” the Wimbledon attendee responded.
He also mentioned British singer Dua Lipa:
“Dua Lipa, the young super star. Do you think she can go on and win Wimbledon?
“Look, I think she can and with her being local, she’s going to have a lot of people rooting for her,” someone said.
Another "tennis player" that a fan considered could do well on the grass of London is the celebrity Caitlyn Jenner, famous for the show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
“She might need to transition into more of an attacking style in the next round, do you thnk she can go on and win Wimbledon?” Karouz asked.
“Al things considered, she is a good player, I think she can, if she… as you say, If she picks up on that attacking style I thin she’s got every chance,” some fan said.
With the schedule nearly back on track after the organizational efforts following the rain delays, the round of 16 will begin on Sunday in both the men's and women's singles draws with the first four matches of each main draw. On Monday, the remaining half of the players in the round of 16 will have their fourth-round matches.
