Comedian Kevin Hart had jokingly issued a challenge to
Serena Williams and
Venus Williams while practicing tennis with his son.
In the comedic video posted on Instagram, Hart jokingly trash-talks his 15-year-old son Hendrix before starting the match and making the challenge to the two tennis legends.
The Williams sisters have both left their mark on the sport over the last two and a half decades. Serena has an incredible 23 Grand Slam titles in singles alone and was just one Slam away from equaling the overall record when she retired in 2022. Meanwhile, Venus has seven major singles titles, including five
Wimbledon victories.
Hart jokingly gives advice on how to reach tennis glory
Hart opened the video with a speech, saying his secret to ensuring tennis success is to only play against his family.
"Now as a father, here's what you gotta do. You gotta keep your foot on your kid's neck! So my boy wanted to play me in tennis, I said - 'Fine, let's go to the tennis court! Let's get it on!' See, this is why I keep it in the crib so that I can kick his a** on the ranking."
Hart also had some more tennis-related advice to give his viewers:
"Here's the thing, you gotta control the ball, the ball won't control you!" he added.
Hart challenges Williams sisters
As Hart began the match, he frequently updated the camera on his emotions.
"I'm ready son! He can't return the heat! He can't return the heat! Somebody call Serena Williams and Venus Williams and tell them I'm out here and that's on God, they are officially on my list of a** whoopings to give," he cried.
The reference to the sisters is made more funny by the knowledge that Hart and Serena are good friends, and have collaborated together on several projects.
