While
Simona Halep was celebrating her appeal being diminished down from four years to nine months, renowned French coach
Patrick Mouratoglou was a figure that had the blame planted at his door.
Mouratoglou's team gave Halep the supplements for collagen which included Roxudustat and he said as much in CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) recently in order to help his former charge in her case. The former World Number One did see the appeal go her way and she can play again immediately, but Mouratoglou's phone would've been blowing up this morning after a comment he made post the statement made by Halep.
"The truth prevailed," he wrote under the post which as of time of writing has 1`,514 likes, but also around 200 replies all of which are negative towards the coach. Many saying that he needs to pay and that he only does this out of want for attention.
"The truth prevailed? Then where is the part when they make you guilty of what happened and you pay for it?" wrote one comment. "You need to pay for what you did to hear," wrote another. Another called out Mouratoglou for doing it on purpose. "You gotta know when to stop commenting, smh everything for attention." All of these comments got 100's of likes from tennis fans who seemingly weren't best pleased at Mouratoglou even responding.
While Halep has gone through this ordeal, Mouratoglou has reunited with Holger Rune recently with some unease that he can continue to coach while Halep has had to pay with nearly two years off the court. Supposedly Halep forgave him for what his team did, but no reunion on the court is likely it seems. But he will likely be regretting commenting now.
