Mirra Andreeva will make her Wimbledon debut at the age of 16, despite never having played grass in her life before this week at SW19.
The 16-year-old Russian prodigy who made her name for herself during the clay court season did not receive a wildcard and had to go through qualifying.
But took to grass like a duck to the water sweeping her first two matches. Finally she saw off Tamara Korpatsch in the final qualifying round 7-5, 5-7, 6-2.
Korpatsch is famously known for being the doubles partner last year of Harmony Tan who beat Serena Williams.
The Frenchwoman then pulled out causing a storm between Korpatsch and her but she won't be in the main singles draw after defeating to Andreeva.
