17-year old Fruhvirtova stuns Danielle Collins in Dubai

The first major name is out of the Dubai WTA 1000 event and it's Daniell Collins who got beaten in two sets by rising phenom Linda Fruhvirtova 6-4 6-4.

Collins hasn't been playing close to her best for a while but this result is a bit surprising. Fruhvirtova has been very good so far this year with an impressive run in Australia but this is a major win. She's been a very good mover on the court with a really solid baseline game that counters many players well.

Besides that, it was also a very impressive win because she served really well. Collins struggled to keep the ball consistently in play and couldn't exert too much pressure on her opponent. Fruhvirotva had 6 aces in the match which is five more than Collins had and she did it without any double faults.

The American had a good run in the second set where she was up a break twice. First early but she lost it soon after and then once again later in the set. She lost her serve immediately and that was actually the start of the end for Collins. The young phenom ended the match on a 3-0 run to keep the match in two sets.
