Carlos Alcaraz will face Cameron Norrie in the Argentina Open final and he says he neesd to be focused in order to win against a great player.
Alcaraz and Norrie have had battles in the past but this is a final and both will be looking to get it done. It's the second final of Norrie's year and this is the first event of Alcaraz's 2023 campaign. Both have been looking good so far but the Spaniard looked a bit sharper which is normal, he grew up on the surface as opposed to Norrie.
Speaking after his semi-final win over Miralles, Alcaraz said:
“It’s a really special moment for me. I was a little bit down after the injury, so I had to recover in those four months the confidence and the rhythm. Coming back for my first tournament of 2023 and making the final is so special for me.”
On facing Norrie, he added:
“Norrie is a great player, a great warrior. I have to be at a high level. I have to play at my best level to beat him: be very aggressive, seek to impose my game, do what I’ve been doing and enjoy. It’s a final, It’s not every day that a final is played and I have to enjoy the moment.”
