Swiatek Stuttgart 1
The 2022 Poland Open will be headlined by native player and world number Iga Swiatek who is the overwhelming favourite to win the event.
She's playing to win it and it would be something special for her to lift a trophy back home. Playing in Poland and for Poland has always been a huge privilege for Swiatek who will start off her journey against fellow Polish player Magdalena Frech. A quarterfinal against Caroline Garcia is on the cards later on in the event.
The 2nd seed is Yulia Putintseva but she pulled out of the event being replaced by Varvara Gracheva who could face former Roland Garros semi-finalist Nadia Podoroska of Argentina. A couple of interesting first-round matchups include Danka Kovinic against Sara Sorribes Tormo, and Jasmine Paolini against Viktorija Golubic as well.
Anna Bondar will take on Kristina Mladenovic with Petra Martic making her return to tennis as well after winning the trophy in Lausanne recently. Check out the full draw below.
