The Credit One Charleston Open is a WTA 500 event that once again has a very strong field with players such as Sabalenka, Badosa, Pliskova, Jabeur and more.
The event usually draws strong fields but this year's event has the strongest field in recent memory. It's a clay event that is played on green clay which is a bit harder and faster than usual clay. Many great players will take part in the event such as Sabalenka, Badosa, Pliskova, Jabeur, Pegula, Fernandez and last year's champion Veronika Kudermetova.
The players will be battling it out for valuable points and sizeable prize money with the winner walking away with 158,800 $. The losing player in the final will get a consolation prize of 98,190 $ with semifinalists getting 49,800 $. The lower rounds yield fewer points and fewer prize money.
