2022 Qatar TotalEnergies Open WTA Draw including Sabalenka, Badosa, Muguruza, Swiatek and Sakkari

The first WTA 1000 event of the season kicks off in Doha from the 21st till the 28th of February with the majority of the top players attending.

The first premier event of the year has a very strong draw that features most of the best tennis players in the world. There won't be any Ashleigh Barty but she traditionally skips over this event and returns to North America. The top seed will be Aryna Sabalenka and like a seed, she has a 1st round BYE. She will face either Cornet or Samsonova in the first round.

The 2nd seed is Barbora Krejcikova and she will play either Riske or Linette in the 2nd round. Last year's champion Petra Kvitova will start her campaign against the tricky Begu who smashed her in St. Peterburg not long ago. Last year's finalist Garbine Muguruza will open against either Cirstea or Sherif.

Notable 1st round matchups include Bencic against Tauson, Gauff against Rogers, Azarenka against Putintseva and Kasatkina against Tomljanovic. Check out the full draw below.
