The ASB Classic will return to Auckland in 2023, where it hasn't featured on the WTA Calendar since 2020 due to the Covid pandemic.
A WTA 250 event, the ASB Classic will be without a defending champion as it's last edition in 2020 was won by the now-retired Serena Williams. Nonetheless, the tournament will not be lacking in star-power as American teenage phenom and World No.7 Coco Gauff will be top seed at the event.
Alongside Gauff will be WTA youngsters Leylah Fernandez and Emma Raducanu, who both clashed over the US Open title in 2021, with Raducanu emerging victorious. Former US Open champion Sloane Stephens is also scheduled to participate at the event, as players prepare for the upcoming Australian Open.
Joining the fray is the always-dangerous Xiyu Wang, as the Chinese star hopes to finally breakthrough on the circuit. Americans Bernada Pera and Madison Brengle will be competing at the event, along with compatriot Lauren Davis and Catherine McNally.
Below is the full list of entrants.
