2023 ASB Classic WTA Draw featuring Gauff, Raducanu, Fernandez and Venus Williams

The ASB Classic in Auckland will be running from January second till January 8th with the likes of Raducanu, Gauff, Fernandez and Venus Williams.

It's a pretty strong event overall with a strong field, far better than the average ATP 250 event. Lots of players are taking part in order to prepare for the Australian Open and Gauff will be the top seed. She starts off against Tatjana Maria who is pretty solid but most likely won't be able to challenge her.

Sloane Stephens is the second seed as she'll start off against Masarova who is an up-and-coming player with an attacking playstyle. Emma Raducanu will also be playing at the event and she'll start off against rising star Linda Fruhvirtova who has the same number of trophies Raducanu has (1). Venus Williams will also be back and she takes on compatriot Volynets.

Some other interesting matchups include Wang against Kenin as the latter tries to rebuild her career in the place where it took off some years ago. Leylah Fernandez also plays and she will take on the younger sister of Linda Fruhvirtova, Brenda. Many consider Brenda the greater talent among the super-talented sisters.
