The draw for the 2023 edition of the Hungarian Grand Prix Budapest WTA has been made where some promising players from the women’s singles circuit will play.
The tournament will be played from July 17 to 23 in Hungary on the clay court.
America’s Bernarda Pera will be the top-seeded player in the competition and she will face Russia’s Diana Shnaider in the round of 32 clash.
The 28-year-old will be hoping to have a good outing at the competition after having a horrendous time at Wimbledon 2023 where she suffered a first-round exit after losing to Bulgaria’s Viktoriya Tomova with a score of 6-7, 6-3, 6-3.
Germany Tatjana Maria will face France’s Carole Monnet in the first round of the competition on Monday.
Kazakhstan’s Yulia Putintseva will be up against a qualifier in the opening round whereas Russia’s Elina Avanesyan will face Slovakia’s Rebecca Sramkova in her tournament opener.
