2024 Abierto GNP Seguros WTA Entry List featuring Paolini, Collins and Svitolina

The 2024 Abierto GNP Seguros tournament, also known as the Monterrey Open, will kick off before the US Open and is scheduled to run from August 19-24, 2024.

A WTA 500 event, the Abierto GNP Seguros is a hard court tournament that will see players from the WTA tour finalize their preparations for the final Grand Slam event of the season. The tournament, hosted in Monterrey, Mexico, has a rich history of past champions with Ana Ivanovic, Garbine Muguruza and Leylah Fernandez and previously lifting the trophy.

Italian tennis star Jasmine Paolini has been the revelation of the 2024 season, as the 28-year old reached two consecutive Grand Slam finals at the French Open and Wimbledon a few weeks later. After winning the biggest title of her career in Dubai earlier this year, Paolini has not looked back, reaching a career-high of World No.5 after SW19. Paolini will be the top seed in Monterrey.

Joining the two-time Major finalist are Americans Danielle Collins and Emma Navarro. Collins has announced this year will be her last on the WTA Tour, and could be looking to go out with a bang. Navarro has been one of the pleasant surprise of 2024, with the 23-year old defeating World No.2 Coco Gauff in the fourth round at Wimbledon.

A pair of former champions are also scheduled to compete in Monterrey, with 2020 champion Elina Svitolina set to participate alongside defending champion Donna Vekic. The Croatian has had an impressive 2024 season, finishing runner-up in Bad Homburg before losing to Paolini in the Wimbledon semifinals. Below is the full list of entrants.
