Abu Dhabi Open 2021 Saturday's Schedule of play with Svitolina, Pliskova, Gauff

The fourth day of the WTA 500 Abu Dhabi event draws eight second-round singles encounter, with some of the top favorites stepping on the court at Zayed Sports City's International Tennis Centre.

On the Centre court, the 6th seed Elena Rybakina opens the day against Xiyu Wang, hoping to tame her strokes and advance into the third round. The 3rd seed Karolina Pliskova is the favorite against the Russian qualifier Anastasia Gasanova, and this encounter comes before the clash of Elena Svitolina and the veteran Vera Zvonareva, who will try to trouble the better-ranked opponent.

Garbine Muguruza battles against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, while the day's last encounter remains reserved for the young American Cori Gauff and Maria Sakkari. Su-Wei Hsieh and Marta Kostyuk kick off the Court 1 action, followed by Karolina Muchova and Daria Kasatkina. In the last singles match on the smaller court, the 17th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova faces Heather Watson.
