The 2023
DC Open will feature a very talented field as several Grand Slam champions and runner-ups have been added to the event.
2019 US Open champion
Bianca Andreescu was granted a wildcard entry to the tournament, and the Canadian will hope to build some momentum after an abysmal start to her season.
2020 Australian Open champion
Sofia Kenin was also handed a wildcard entry, as well as compatriot
Danielle Collins, who finished runner-up in Melbourne in 2022.
The resurgent
Elina Svitolina, who has returned from a hiatus after giving birth to her first child, will also be competing at the event. The Ukrainian stunned the tennis community by reaching the semifinals of this year's Wimbledon after taking over a year off, and will hope to build her momentum in preparation for the US Open.
