The 2023
Canadian Open will take place in Montreal from August 4-13, and the tournament has announced the first portion of it's first-round schedule.
Although the official tournament draw ceremony will be held on August 4, the event organizer's confirmed that
Caroline Wozniacki and
Bianca Andreescu will begin their campaigns on Tuesday, August 8.
Both athletes have lifted the trophy in the past
Former World No.1 Wozniacki is coming out of retirement and will be making her 12th appearance at the event. The Dane, who is slated to compete in the day session (session 5) lifted the trophy in 2010, and finished runner-up in 2017.
Andreescu, who won the event in 2019, will be competing in the evening session (session 6). The Canadian will be making her seventh appearance at the event, and is currently ranked at World No.44.
