Amanda Anisimova shares hilarious cooking mishap, almost sets kitchen on fire - "Let's not talk about last night"

American tennis player Amanda Anisimova took to social media on Wednesday to give fans a glimpse at a hilarious cooking fail which could have led to a worse outcome but fortunately turned out fine.

The former World No.21 spent most of the 2024 season rehabilitating a hip injury sustained during the year. Although she made several attempts to return to competitive tennis, Anisimova ended her season at the Wuhan Open where she withdrew due to a left hip injury against Marta Kostyuk in the second round.

Anisimova shares off-season fail with fans

The 23-year old has spent most of her off-season recovering and enjoying her time off with family and friends. Anisimova often shares snippets of her life on social media, and fans were treated to a hilarious incident involving the American in her kitchen.

Anisimova posted a photo on her Instagram stories, showing a portion of a baking tray that had caught fire, along with vegetables that were supposedly part of her meal.

"Let's not talk about last night though ..." read the caption.

This is not the first unfortunate incident that has befallen the American recently. Last week, she posted an image of a broken scented candle jar, which was surrounded by wax and glass stuck to the floor.

"I actually can't even rn. That's candle wax with glass... stuck to the fn floor," lamented Anisimova in the caption.
