Following a horrific injury at last month's Miami Open, Bianca Andreescu has begun preparations for the clay-court season after a few weeks of recovery.
The former World No.4 suffered a devastating injury in her Miami Open round of 16 clash against Ekaterina Alexandrova, slipping and injuring her ankle while scrambling to retrieve a ball. The Canadian left the court in tears, as she was carted off in a wheelchair and subsequently announced she had torn two ligaments in her ankle.
Andreescu seems to be on the right side of recovery, as she took to social media to post a picture of her practicing on a clay court. The 22-year old was unable to join Team Canada at last week's Billie Jean King Cup, but could return to action at next week's Madrid Open.
