Another accolade for Swiatek, becomes first tennis player since 1937 to win Polish Sports Personality of the Year

Iga Swiatek added another accolade to her growing list of accolades as she was named the Polish Sports Personality of the Year, the first tennis player to do so.

Iga Swiatek had an incredible 2022 year winning two grand slam events as well as a couple of other great tournaments. She finished number one in the WTA Rankings having almost twice as many points as the second-best ranked player. She was simply the best player in the world and it was not even close.

Now she added another important accolade to her name as she was named the Polish Sports Personality of the Year. She became the first tennis player to do so since 1937 which just shows what an incredible feat that was.
