World number one Aryna Sabalenka appeared in Nike's latest t-shirt, honouring 10 women athletes for their impressive performances. The 26-year-old is regarded as one of the best players currently playing in women’s tennis in the singles category.
As per the latest report, Sabalenka appeared in Nike’s latest T-shirt, which was released to honour 10 women athletes for their performances in different sports. The other players featured basketball sensation Caitlin Clark, American artistic gymnast Jordan Chiles, Spanish footballer Alexia Putellas, basketball players Paige Bueckers, Sabrina Ionescu, JuJu Watkins, A’Ja Wilson, American football player Sophia Smith and track and field athlete Sha'Carri Richardson. The T-shirt will be released on Sunday.
Sabalenka has started the 2025 season impressively as well, where she finished as the runner-up after losing in the final of the first Grand Slam of the year — Australian Open — to America’s Madison Keys in the final with a score of 6-3, 2-6, 7-5. That defeat was the first for Sabalenka in Melbourne in three years as she lifted back-to-back titles.
The reigning world number one is set to resume her tennis activities with the upcoming event in Doha, Qatar. Ahead of the competition, she admitted that the defeat in a competition where she was unbeaten for three years was a tough one to take. She also stated that she still thinks about that defeat. Sabalenka was also of the opinion that she didn’t do much in the final set of the Australian Open final and believes that Keys got over the line because it was ‘her day’.
"This one was the toughest one. I think for a week I was still thinking about that match," Sabalenka said. "Honestly, looking back and thinking about those two lost games [in the final set], I didn't do anything wrong, she just played out of her mind, and it was her day - there's nothing to regret. I think right now I'm fully recovered after that tough match."
