"Aryna Sabalenka getting a 250 draw as always": Tennis fans react to women's draw at 2024 Indian Wells Open

Fans have given their reaction after the women's draw was made for Indian Wells. The main draw for the WTA 1000 event begins on Wednesday, where the top 32 players will receive a bye to the second round.

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek is in the top quarter of the draw. The Pole will potentially play Danielle Collins, who gave her a scare at the Australian Open earlier this year. Some other mouth-watering clashes could see Swiatek up against Ons Jabeur and Caroline Wozniacki before Elena Rybakina in what would be a semi final tie.

There could be an encounter between US Open champions as Coco Gauff and Naomi Osaka find themselves in the third section of the draw, while Aryna Sabalenka will face Elisabetta Cocciaretto or Peyton Stearns in her first match, with wildcard Emma Raducanu potentially awaiting in the third round.

Viewers took notice to the draw, observing that Sabalenka seemed to have a perceived easier route to the latter stages than her rivals. "Sabalenka getting a 250 (level event) draw as always." said one. "Wow, you guys must really hate Iga since she literally has the worst draw out of Top 4," stated another.

One user detailed Swiatek's bad luck and said the trophy was destined for American Gauff. "Just hand the trophy to Gauff. It's a very top heavy draw... worst possible path for Swiatek with Collins, (Linda) Noskova, keys, (Jelena) Ostapenko, Rybakina and Sabalenka to go through to win the title."
