Mirra Andreeva once again grabs attention in a new video on Daria Kasatkina’s YouTube Channel. The teenager recently reached the Round of 32 at the Wuhan Open after defeating Xiyu Wang and will face her older sister Erika Andreeva for the first time on the Tour.
A week ago, the young Russian reached the quarterfinals of the China Open, achieving her highest-ever ranking as world No. 19. While participating in the Beijing tournament, Andreeva had a fun conversation with Kasatkina, as she has done several times in her videos throughout the season.
Before a training session between the Russians, 'Dasha' showed Andreeva a new plush toy she bought in Beijing that could be tied to the wrist and had a pocket, which amused the teenager. "Is there money in there?" she asked. "No money," she added after opening the pocket.
“There will be enough space for 250k prize money,” Kasatkina responded with a laugh.
Elina Avanesyan, a player of Russian origin recently naturalized Armenian, also joined. "Beauties. We have a new generation here, I feel a bit old," Kasatkina said as her colleagues hugged each other in greeting.
At the end of the training session, Kasatkina and Andreeva greeted fans, signed autographs, and even received gifts. 'Dasha' received 'Pikachu' and 'Bulbasaur' plush toys from Pokémon, which the teenager loved and ‘stole’ as they left the court.
D.K: "Like in half a year, it’s your birthday, right, more or less," Kasatkina mentioned later.
M.A.: "I’m getting old guys. I don’t want to be old, but at least I’ll be able to drink alcohol legally."
D.K.: (laughing) "You just drink Coca Cola."
M.A.: "I’m joking, I’ll be drinking Coca Cola, not Coca Cola Zero, because without ‘Zero’ it’s just another level, we’re upgrading. So as soon as I’m eighteen, Coca Cola."
You can check out the rest of the conversation between the Russian stars in the following video, which also includes interactions with Andrey Rublev, Arina Rodionova, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, and more.
