Amanda Anisimova is into the Quarter-Finals of Wimbledon after seeing off the surprise package in this tournament in Harmony Tan with ease 6-2, 6-3 as she heads towards a tie with Simona Halep on Wednesday.
"It's amazing to be in the Quarter-Final here, going into this I didn't think that this was possible. It's a dream come true right now, it's my first Quarter-Final at Wimbledon so I'm so happy," she said in her post match interview.
She wouldn't be drawn though on what was better in terms of Centre Court or Court One in playing Coco Gauff or Tan in this case.
"Stepping onto Centre Court and then Court One it's a super special feeling. I was just trying to soak it in the moment I stepped onto these courts and try and play my best tennis to entertain you guys."
But the journey back to the top after being in tennis purgatory for a while gives the 20 year old more reason to celebrate moments like these.
"It's been a tough journey the last couple of years. It's been a lot of ups and downs, that's why these moments are extra special to me. Back then I don't think I appreciated it as much as I do now, it's so amazing after having lows to be on a high right now."
