It was a very exciting match that finished after midnight and it saw

It was quite a match and quite a scoreline in this one. Due to a late start, the match finished after midnight local time but it was one that was worth waiting for and watching. The first set opened with the North American combo taking an early lead of 2-0 and holding it for a while though it after six games it was 3-3.
Fernandez and her partner broke once more for the 4-3 lead but that was the final game of the set that they won as Azarenka and Haddad Maia stormed back to take it 6-4. The served proved vital in the end as the winning pair simply served better in the key moments and it made it a lot easier for them to win.
The second set was the opposite. It didn't start well for Azarenka and Haddad Maia and things got progressively worse. In the end, it was a quick bagel 6-0 in just 28 minutes of play. We saw a match tiebreak which seemed like it was going to be pretty close but it really wasn't. Despite getting bageled, Azarenka and Haddad Maia jumped out to a big 6-1 lead to start and never let it go. They ultimately finished it 10-6.
