Following her trailblazing achievement of becoming the first Arab player to be ranked in the Top 10, Ons Jabeur has received words of support from all over the world, including from WTA legend Billie Jean King.
Jabeur is assured of a place in the Top 10 when next week's WTA rankings are released, as the Tunisian secured this spot following her fourth round win over Anna Kalinskaya at the BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells tournament.
King, who is currently at Indian Wells, met up with Jabeur and gave her a signed copy of her autobiography, All In. The multiple Grand Slam champion included some words of encouragement for Jabeur.
“To Ons, thank you for being such an inspiration for all of us and especially Arabs,” wrote King. “Keep going for it!”
Jabeur has accumulated a tour-leading 48 wins this season, which include her first WTA singles title at Birmingham. The Tunisian faces Paula Badosa in her maiden WTA 1000 semifinal at Indian Wells, with the opportunity of winning the biggest title of her career.
