Emma Raducanu is set to play in
Indian Wells despite pulling out of Austin this week due to an illness and it will be the first time she will play after the Australian Open.
Emma Raducanu pulled out of the Austin tournament this week due to an illness which pushed back her official return to tennis. She last played at the Australian Open where she lost to Coco Gauff but she will make her return in Indian Wells. The Brit played at the event last year beating Caroline Garcia before Petra Martic defeated her.
Being ranked number 80 makes entry into these WTA 1000 difficult for Raducanu but due to some entries, she was able to get into the main draw directly. It's a different story for the Miami Open where she'll have to play the qualifiers unless she receives a wild card due to being five spots away from a direct entry.
All of this comes after she lost her ranking following poor results in 2022. Her career best rank was number 10.
