A member of the Russian Duma State Deputy Roman Teryuskhov namedropped Kasatkikina while commenting on the comments of IOC president Bach.
Bach spoke about the Russia - Ukraine War explaining that athletes from the country were permitted to play under a neutral flag in international competitions because they did not support the actions of the country or its government. The deputy commented on that saying:
"I am sure that the number of athletes who want to compete in a neutral status will come to naught. Only Kasatkina and others like her will remain."
The Russian who recently has been awarded one of the highest state honours an athlete can get did not take lightly to that posting a screenshot of a Google search 'how to get rid of a person'.
Kasatkina recently came out as gay which is fairly looked down upon in her native Russia and she has spoken openly about her disappointment that the country discriminates openly against people like herself. Even so, she was recently awarded a huge honour with notable athletes like Kafelnikov praising the move and saying that she deserves it.
