After Day 2 of the qualifying at the 2020 ASB Classic in Auckland, which will kick-off the main draw on the 6th of January 2020, only the last 8 remained to fight for 4 spots for qualifiers.
Playing alongside Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki or Coco Gauff will be a great success for any of the players in qualifying. After 2nd round, just the best 8 remained in the battle for their spot in the main draw of the 2020 ASB Classic.
4 players from the United States were successful in the second round of qualifying. And out of the 4 qualifiers, the USA does already have 2 secured spots in the main draw. Usue Maitane Arconada will be facing Ann Li and Varvara Lepchenko will meet Caty McNally. 2 winners of the all-US matchups will join another 8 players in the main draw to create a strong field including 10 players from the United States.
Greetje Minnen, Isabella Shinikova, Camila Giorgi and Ysaline Bonaventure are the other 4 players fighting for 2 places in the main draw of 2020 ASB Classic.
