Krejcikova Aus Open 2
The 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest returns in 2022 with the 20th edition of the event running from July 11th till July 17th.
The event is played on clay outdoors and it will mark the return of the WTA tour to this surface. A lot of players will be relieved by that including top seed Barbora Krejcikova who will look to return to the winner's circle here. She did not play last year but Yulia Putitnseva did and she was the champion last year, returning this year as well.
Krejcikova opens her event up against Xiyu Wang who is a tricky player to play against. Putintseva will play against Anna Karolina Schmiedlova who is an excellent player on this surface. She can certainly beat the defending champion.
The 2nd seed is Martina Trevisan who will be happy to return to clay after her breakthrough run at Roland Garros where she reached the semi-finalist losing to Coco Gauff. The 4th seed is Anhelina Kalinina, another strong player on clay and she will start off against Katerina Siniakova. There are a lot of interesting matches in the opening rounds so check out the draw below.
