Draw released for 2021 Courmayeur Ladies Open including Jabeur and Giorgi

The 2021 Courmayeur Ladies Open is a WTA 250 event held in Italy and headlined by Ons Jabeur and Camila Giorgi.

The 2021 event will be the first time this event is held and for a first-time event, the organizers were able to attract a solid field of players. The end of the season helps with that as top seed Ons Jabeur is fighting for a spot in the WTA Finals in November. Jabeur recently played in Moscow but she was forced to retire after feeling unwell. The match came after a very brief turnaround from Indian Wells.

Jabeur will face stiff competition for points in Italy from many players including Camila Giorgi who played a very solid event in Tenerife. The Italian has had one of her best years so far in 2021 and a chance to win a trophy back home in Italy will prove added motivation for Giorgi. Besides those two we will see several notable players such as Samsonova, Tauson, Martic, and others.

Top seed Jabeur will start off her campaign with a match against Diatchenko. In the 2nd round, she might face Bronzetti or Kozlova with Jasmine Paolini possibly waiting in R3. 2nd seed Giorgi will face a tricky opponent in Rakhimova in R1, French possibly waiting in R2, and Tauson in R3. Either way it's will be an interesting event to observe especially with the WTA Finals implications. Check out the full draw below.
