Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils set to become parents for first time in October

Elina Svitolina announced recently that she will not play at Roland Garros due to mental fatigue but she will likely not be seen on court for a long time with her latest announcement.

The Ukrainian who is married to popular ATP pro, Gael Monfils has announced her pregnancy and they will become parents for the first time in October.

This acts as brilliant news for Svitolina who has of course been dealing with the issues surrounding the war in Ukraine and has been in many ways, the tennis spokesperson for it including on the bans for Russian and Belarusian players at Wimbledon.

As a result, she took a break from tennis in March but despite not playing at Roland Garros, she will travel to support her husband on home soil and will now have a new arrival incoming. Congratulations to GEMS on this news!
