WTA Ranking Update: Emma Raducanu, Bianca Andreescu see massive jump after impressive outing in Nottingham, 's-Hertogenbosch

After recent performances, Britain’s tennis star Emma Raducanu and Canada’s Bianca Andreescu have improved their rankings. The updated WTA rankings have been released on Monday.

Poland’s Iga Swiatek has continued to lead the ranking with 11, 695 points. The 22-year-old has been in impressive form and recently won the French Open four the fourth time after beating Jasmine Paolini of Italy in the final with a score of 6-2, 6-1.

America’s Coco Gauff continues to hold the second spot in the WTA rankings. She recently overtook Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka. The young sensation is placed with 7,988 rating points, and the two-time Grand Slam winner is in third place with 7,788 points.

Canada’s Andreescu made a significant jump in the ranking, moving 65 spots to 163rd in the WTA rankings after an impressive outing in the Libema Open. The 24-year-old lost in the final to Liudmila Samsonova with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.

On the other hand, Raducanu has also seen a significant jump in the rankings, moving 44 spots up to 165th position. The 21-year-old had a good outing in the Nottingham Open, but she was eventually knocked out after losing in the semifinal to Katie Boulter with a score of 6-7, 6-3, 6-4.

Interestingly, Boulter, who won the Nottingham Open after beating Karolina Pliskova in the final with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-2, has lost a spot in the WTA rankings and she is now placed on the 31st position. Russia’s Liudmila Samsonova, who won the Libema Open, strengthened her position in the WTA rankings as she maintained her 15th position but is now nearly 600 points ahead of the 16th-placed Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk.

Former world number one Naomi Osaka also gained 12 spots in the WTA rankings and is now placed 113th. She recently participated in the Libema Open, but she was knocked out in the quarterfinals after losing to Andreescu 6-4, 3-6, 7-6.
