Emma Raducanu revealed a unique nightly food ritual she followed during her US Open run that saw her win the event in dominating fashion.
Raducanu won the US Open with sheer tennis brilliance but many fans and people are still curious about some of the things the British player was doing that allowed her to complete the historic achievement. None of these things contributed to her winning 10 matches in a row but Raducanu did not want to change some of the things she did after winning a couple of matches.
She admitted that depend on the cities she viist, she does keep some routines saying:
“It varies depending on the tournament I'm at or the city I'm in, but I’ve definitely found some routines that really worked. So we’ve had a few routines like frozen yoghurt at the end of matches in New York. Or eating poke for dinner every single night for three weeks, because I didn’t want to change things."
Raducanu admitted that things like that give her comfort and help her mentally overcome the challenges of playing in such events:
“It's more about finding small things like that. They just bring you a bit of comfort. Yeah – for me, when I was in New York, I really wanted that satisfaction of the walk to the frozen yoghurt afterwards. It was the highlight of my day, to be honest.”
