Emma Raducanu lost to
Aliaksandra Sasnovich for the 2nd time in her career as the Belarusian downed her 3-6 6-1 6-1 to move on in Paris.
A bad ending for Raducanu at the
French Open as the Brit completely shut down after winning the opening set against Sasnovich. It started well enough for Emma as she was able to find a really good rhythm early on in the match taking the first 6-3. She broke her opponent twice by winning important points down the stretch when Sasnovich struggled a bit.
Things dramatically changed in the 2nd set as the Belarussian relaxed and started taking more risks and it worked. It worked better than she thought it would because she jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back. She finished off the set 6-1 as Raducanu practically gave up towards the end of it. Sasnovich posted an incredible 19-4 winner to error ratio in the 2nd set.
Things were quite similar in the 2nd set as well. Sasnovich ran into some trouble early having to fend off 5 break points and she did so. After that Raucanu completely shut down as Sasnovich cruised to a 6-1 finish once again. She posted 15 winners to 10 errors while Raducanu had a poor 4 and 12. Not enough to win a match like this.
