British teenage sensation
Emma Raducanu has been added to the list of names who will play tennis at the famed Royal Albert Hall in London.
The Champions Tennis event will be held in November and will feature several notable names including Radek Stepanek, Xavier Malisse, Thomas Enqvist and Greg Rusedski. Raducanu will join those players for the event held at the famed Royal Albert Hall in London.
The invitation comes after Raducanu managed another notable result by reaching the final at a WTA 125K event in Chicago last week. She ultimately wasn't able to win the trophy losing to fellow teenager Clara Tauson but it capped off a notable breakout summer for the teenager.
Seasoned pros have come out and praised the young player most notably fellow Brit Andy Murray who spoke highly of Raducanu several times. About the opportunity to play in the Royal Albert Hall Raducanu said:
"I can't wait to join these amazing legends of tennis and can't think
of a better way to end the season than playing alongside these players
in the city, I grew up in and at such an iconic British venue. The support I received at Wimbledon this year was
fantastic so to end my year playing in front of home crowds will be so
special."
The four-day tournament has daily afternoon and evening sessions, with three scheduled matches per session; two singles matches and one doubles match.
