The WTA Tour will make one of it's few visits to Africa for the 2024
Jasmin Open Monastir, which is hosted in the beautiful city of Monastir, Tunisia from September 9-15, 2024.
A WTA 250 event, the Jasmin Open Monastir was first introduced on the WTA calendar in 2022. Belgian tennis star
Elise Mertens is the two-time defending champion, and the former World No.12 will be looking to make it three in a row when she competes for the title next week. Mertens defeated two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini in a clinical fashion during last year's final.
Muchova hoping to maintain momentum
Czech tennis star
Karolina Muchova has been playing some of her best tennis this summer, as evident by her deep run at the 2024 US Open. The 2023 French Open runner-up will look to add more silverware to her cabinet, following a lengthy bout with injury this season.
Joining the former World No.8 are Frenchwomen Clara Burel and Diane Parry, in addition to Italians Lucia Bronzetti and Sara Errani. The African continent will also be represented, as Egyptian
Mayar Sherif is scheduled to compete at the event, alongside Great Britain's Harriet Dart. Below is the full list of entrants.
