The Adelaide International has everything ready to host between January 6 and 11 the first racquets of a season that is expected to be exciting. The Aussi tournament is one of the most important tournaments to prepare for the Austrian Open, both in the women's category with its WTA 500 and in the men's category with its ATP 250.
Thus, in the women's tournament will be present several top 10, some of the best players in the world as Jasmine Paolini, Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro, Dara Kastakina, and Barbora Krejcikova. There will also be racquets such as the Spanish Paula Badosa, the Czech former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova or the former number 2, the Tunisian Ons Jabeur, who returns after her physical problems.
Zoe Bettison, Minister of Tourism, spoke about what she expects from the event:
"Welcoming world tennis back to Adelaide will be an epic way to kick off 2025. Every year players tell us how much they enjoy playing in Adelaide thanks to the convenience of our unique city, the world-class food and drink served at every meal and the classic Australian outdoor adventures that can be enjoyed so close by. Last year we recorded incredibly high ticket sales, and the same is expected to be true again in 2025, especially with Children's Day selling out this year. It's the perfect opportunity for parents to treat the family to fun, free activities for the kids and world-class tennis for the adults."
