Everyday I miss playing than I think about training for 8+hrs a day…. It’s not that bad right?
Serena Williams has made the consistent point that she never shut the idea down of returning to tennis after her swansong at the US Open last year and continues to drop hints.
"Every day I miss playing then I think about training for 8+hrs a day. It’s not that bad right?" Williams tweeted.
In mid-February, she said that she was 'feeling torn' as she believes she can still play at a high level.
"I for sure feel more at peace now. It's interesting. I think I feel torn because I'm still able to play at a very, very, very high level. With that being said, I always wanted to leave the game playing at a very high level. But it's hard because it's like, 'Oh my gosh, I could still play, and I could still do all that stuff.'
"But I'm inch by inch leaning away, inch by inch embracing it." She also revealed that her father Richard Williams had attempted to persuade her to come out of retirement but was reluctant.
