Ferro defeats Cirstea to become first finalist of Virtual Madrid Open

Ferro showed her great gaming skill throughout the group stage. She defeated all of her opponents to finish first in her group. The same way, also Sorana Cirstea was undefeated in the group stage of the Virtual Madrid Open.

In the quarterfinals, both players needed a tie-break to reach the semifinal. In the semifinal, for some time it seemed as they will reach the tie-break again. However, Ferro managed to get a break and won the match 6-3 to become the first finalist. In the final, she will meet the winner of the match between Caroline Wozniacki and Kiki Bertens.
