"First session back": Raducanu begins recovery from multiple surgeries as race to US Open starts

Britain’s tennis star Emma Raducanu has provided an update on
her recovery from multiple surgeries.
The 20-year-old has suffered a number of injuries in
the recent past which has affected her on-court performances as well.
In some good news for her fans, Raducanu posted a picture on
her official Instagram account from her first session in a bid to recover from different
surgeries.

Raducanu broke onto the scene in 2021 when she lifted the
US Open as an 18-year-old after defeating Canada’s Leylah Fernandez in the
final with a score of 6-4, 6-3.
That victory was an even more special one considering the
fact that she started the competition through a qualification round.
Since then, the Toronto-born has not been able to replicate similar
performances on the court, largely because of her fitness concerns.
In 2023, Raducanu has already missed two Grand Slams because
of injuries — the French Open and Wimbledon.
Australian Open remains the only Grand Slam she has taken
part this year but her journey was cut short in the second round after she
suffered a defeat to America’s Coco Gauff in straight sets with a score of 6-3,
7-6.
